Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, content, products, and services operated by World Corporation (“World Corporation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including this website and the brands in our network (such as The Americano, The Passport, and others). By using our sites or purchasing our products or services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
World Corporation is a Delaware S-Corporation based in the United States. We publish media and provide services and software for people living, moving, retiring, and investing abroad. Different products in our network may have additional, product-specific terms; where they conflict with these Terms, the product-specific terms control for that product.
2. Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to purchase from us. You agree not to misuse our services, including by attempting to access them unlawfully, interfering with their operation, infringing others' rights, or using our content or platforms to break the law.
3. Purchases and payment
Prices for our products and services are listed on the relevant pages and are in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card details. Charges from World Corporation and its brands appear on your statement as “World Corp.”
All sales are subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Some products are non-refundable once delivered or accessed; please review that policy before purchasing. Where a product is a recurring membership or subscription, it renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel future renewals at any time.
4. Informational content, not professional advice
Our relocation, visa, immigration, tax, legal, health, and financial content is informational and educational only. It is not legal, tax, immigration, medical, or financial advice, it is not a determination of your status, and it does not create a professional-client relationship. Rules change and individual circumstances differ. You should consult a qualified, licensed professional in the relevant jurisdiction before acting. Several of our services exist specifically to connect you with such professionals; they support that decision, they do not replace it.
5. Intellectual property
The content, design, trademarks, logos, and software on our sites are owned by World Corporation or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable license to access and use our content and products for their intended purpose. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works from our paid content without our written permission.
6. Third-party services and links
Our sites and services rely on and link to third parties (for example, Stripe for payments, our email provider, analytics providers, and the independent professionals we may connect you with). We are not responsible for the content, products, or conduct of third parties, and your dealings with them are governed by their own terms.
7. Disclaimers
Our sites, content, products, and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that our content is complete, current, or error-free, or that our services will be uninterrupted.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, World Corporation and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on our content or your dealings with third parties. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product or service is limited to the amount you paid us for that product or service in the twelve months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Your continued use of our sites or services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
